Mass Residents Home Heating System Rebates

November 25, 2015

Heating equipment is typically the largest energy user in the home. A new furnace or boiler can reduce energy use by as much as 30%. If a natural gas furnace or boiler is more than 20 years old, it is probably running very inefficiently compared to today’s models.

Eligible Equipment:

New Equipment AFUE Rating Rebate (Up To)
Furnace (equipped with an ECM motor) 97% or greater $600
Furnace (equipped with an ECM motor) 95% or greater $300
Boiler (Forced Hot Water System) 95% or greater $1,500
Boiler (Forced Hot Water System) 90% or greater $1,000
Condensing Boiler with On-Demand DHW 95% or greater $1,600
Condensing Boiler with On-Demand DHW 90% or greater $1,200
Heat Recovery Ventilator n/a $500
After-Market Boiler Reset Controls* n/a $225

* Add-on unit attached to a natural gas forced hot water boiler.

Recommend high efficiency equipment to your customers so they can receive rebates directly from GasNetworks. Make sure to provide your customers with an invoice that includes the model number of the equipment installed, so they have the appropriate documentation for their rebate application.

How to Apply for a Rebate

Download and share the appropriate rebate application with your customers or let your Massachusetts customers know they can complete a rebate application online.
