Mass Save® offers a one-stop resource with expert guidance and financial incentives ‒ from Massachusetts gas and electric utilities and energy efficiency service providers ‒ for homeowners, landlords, renters, small businesses and large commercial and industrial customers across the Commonwealth who want to reduce their energy use and utility bills.

For municipal utility customers whose utiities don’t participate in Mass Save, HELPS provides energy education, home energy audits, assistance with home energy improvements and ENERGY STAR appliance rebates, as well as other services. Visit the website or call (888) 333-7525 for more information.
The Low Income Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) assists low-income households reduce their heating bills by providing full-scale home energy efficiency services. The program is funded by an annual grant from the U.S. Department of Energy and your local utility company. Find the local agency that serves your community.

Heating Emergency Assistance Retrofit Task Weatherization Assistance Program (HEARTWRAP) provides heating system repair and replacement services to low-income households through contracts with heating system service companies. The program is administered by a network of local agencies listed by community.

Renewable Energy Options: Residents and businesses may also want to consider switching to heating with renewable fuels. Incentives are available to install a heating system using wood pellets, solar panels or heat pumps. This table gives an overview of the available rebates, financing options and tax incentives.
