Rooms that are not being used regularly might not require full heating. You could turn down individual radiators in these rooms to a lower setting ensuring that they do not get damp.
Use curtains to keep the heat of your house inside. Open your curtains during the day to allow the natural sunlight to heat your home and close them in the evenings to prevent the heat from escaping.
Add a curtain to your front door to provide an extra layer of insulation and reduce drafts.
Keep windows and doors closed when the heating is on. Turn the heating down or off before opening them for extended periods.
Wear an extra layer of clothing when the temperature drops. Adding a jumper will allow you to keep warm for longer without the need to turn up your heating.
