For businesses, heating is typically one of the largest energy costs. A new furnace or boiler can reduce energy use by as much as 30%. If a natural gas furnace or boiler is more than 20 years old, it is probably running very inefficiently compared to today’s models.

Eligible Equipment:

Measure Rebate (Up To)
Furnaces ≥ 97% AFUE with Electronic Commutated Motor (ECM) (up to 150 MBH) $600
Furnaces ≥ 95% AFUE with Electronic Commutated Motor (ECM) (up to 150 MBH) $300
Condensed Unit Heaters ≥ 90% thermal efficiency (up to 300 MBH) $750
Low Intensity Infrared Heaters (all sizes) $750
Condensing Boilers ≥ 90% thermal efficiency (1701 to 2000 MBH) $10,000
Condensing Boilers ≥ 90% thermal efficiency (1000 to 1700 MBH) $7,500
Condensing Boilers ≥ 90% thermal efficiency (500 to 999 MBH) $4,000
Condensing Boilers ≥ 90% thermal efficiency (301 to 499 MBH) $2,000
Condensing Boilers ≥ 95% AFUE (up to 300 MBH) $1,500
Condensing Boilers ≥ 90% AFUE (up to 300 MBH) $1,000
Combined High-Efficiency Boiler and Water Heating Unit ≥ 90% AFUE (must be considered one unit by manufacturer) $1,200

Recommend high efficiency equipment to your customers so they can receive rebates directly from GasNetworks. Make sure to provide your customers with an invoice that includes the model number of the equipment installed, so they have the appropriate documentation for their rebate application.

How to Apply for a Rebate

Download and share the appropriate rebate application with your customers. MA customers can complete a rebate application online. Note: Scroll down to see Commercial Programs on the Mass Save program page.
